This machine is used for removing seeds from maize cobs. This power driven maize thresher can be powered by a motor, kerosene engine or two-wheel tractor.  The conical shape of the drums is designed to increase the holding time of cobs inside the machine thus increasing the number of impacts by the drum spikes on the cobs.  It helps to remove maximum amount of seeds from the cob.  While the spikes on the inner rotating drum apply a force on the cobs, the rasp bars located on the inner surface of the outer drum help to resist the movement of the cobs until the seed are removed from the cobs.   The capacity of the machine is 3000 cobs per hour and the power requirement of the machine is 3 HP.  A cleaning device located below the threshing drum, which consists of a sieve and a blower, removes threshed cobs dust and light impurities from the seeds.
